Gift from Ramos Pinto

Post by jdaw1 »

Ramos Pinto have very kindly sent me four bottles. By email they said it was for me to decide whether they are gifts to the team or to me.

• Ramos Pinto vintage 2000;
• Reserva Duas Quintas 2012;
• Ramos Pinto 20Y tawny;
• Ramos Pinto 30Y tawny.

The first two definitely belong at a team event of some description. If the two tawnies also belong, I will of course save bring them to that event. But if we have few events at which they would be a natural fit, instead they could be very fine for home consumption. And I quite fancy having, this evening, RP20Y, RP30Y and S20Y side-by-side. Does anybody strongly object?

Just joined with port tonight (left over glass of Noval LBV 2003 unfiltered from my aunt)

I assume these are the new bottles - RP20 and RP30? I am very interested to hear your impressions, as I just tasted these for the first time on the Port Harvest Tour this year.

Have a wonderful evening!
