Elderly appearance, a mature reddish-brown colour, 40% opaque. Some slight bottle stink on the nose, smelling a little musty. Sweet on the nose under the bottle stink with redcurrants and pine needles. Surprisingly powerful on the palate with lots of burnt sugar and burnt raisins. Big on flavour with a bitter core and dryness - like high cocoa chocolate. Hot on the aftertaste with a big bitter flush of burnt raisin. Much bigger than I would expect to find a Warre. 88/100.
