20% opacity, warm rich red. Nose of rich fruits. Lovely and smooth all along the palate, gentle rolling heat, chocolaty, dates, strawberries. Lovely port. In this strong line-up I gave it a point.

Polished rose red with a pale rim, 40% opaque. Empty on the nose, a shade of bitter cranberry. Smooth entry, fragrant fruit which builds beautifully to powerful levels. Great mouthful, really fragrant - mature and powerful. Huge aftertaste, full of intense redcurrant syrup that leads to an enormous finish. A pity about the lack of nose. 91
Top Ports in 2022: Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931. I have never drunk such a wonderful bottle of Port. I cried with joy.
2023: Fonseca 1966. There are not many better Ports, except a good bottle of Fonseca 1927. Wow!

GC66. Dark red, 50% opaque. Complex fruits, at least some tropical. Rich, also strawberry. Slightly light late palate.
