Re: 1966 Warre
Really smooth, almost no heat, syrupy fruit - strawberries which have been stewed. Really jammy mouthfeel.
Later, losing a bit of structure, and more syrupy.

Re: 1966 Warre
Deep rosy-pink, 50% opaque. Gentle nose of spiced cherries, soft but attractive. Fruit on the palate, sweet maraschino cherry with nutmeg giving a lively pepperiness. The pepperiness follows through onto the aftertaste; the sweet fruit lacks a shade of acidity to keep the port in focus and balance. 88
Top Ports in 2022: Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931. I have never drunk such a wonderful bottle of Port. I cried with joy.
2023: Fonseca 1966. There are not many better Ports.
