1996 Barros Colheita (bottled 2021)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled 2021. Light and pale in colour, a gentle copper; 10% opaque. Pungent nose, slightly oxidised, not smelling right. A little sharp and sour on the palate, disjointed and not showing well. Hints of a baked coffee character under the disjointed palate and a powerful acidity floods over the senses on the aftertaste before a nice baked biscuit finish. Not Rated. Tasted 10-Apr-21.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
