1977 Graham

Post by richmills »

Popped and poured after a barbecue on Sunday. Even without a decant this is immediately delicious; strawberries and other sweet red fruits, just a hint of mint and a little bitterness keeping everything beautifully balanced.

This is the best bottle of this I've had for years and not at all like the slightly thin spirity port that the G77 has sometimes been. It further reinforces in my mind what a great place the 77's are currently in.

I had intended this to last over the bank holiday, but it seems the wonderful warm weather has caused whatever was left over from yesterday to evaporate, that's the only explanation I can think of for the decanter being empty when I came down this morning.
