NV Churchill Reserve Ruby

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Churchill Reserve Ruby NV: a bottle from the first Churchill Port Club pack (yes, we bought more than one).

Dark plum red colour. Soft and sweet strawberry on the nose, fragrant. Beautiful balance on the palate, elegant fruit with a nice mid-weight palate. Good levels of acidity and a soft tannin chewiness on the lively finish. A delicious everyday Port. 85/100. Drunk 20 March 2021. Decanted 1 hour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
