NV Churchill Tawny 20YO (bottled 2019)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Churchill 20YO tawny, 50cl bottle filled in 2019. Bottle was sealed with a t-stopper and included as part of the Q1 Port Club pack.

Deep amber-orange colour with a hint of green on the rim. Sweet and fragrant orange oil and apricots on the nose. Smooth and balanced palate, hints of mint on the mid-palate wrapped around with sweet butterscotch and lime acidity. Lovely perfume and a little acacia honey on the aftertaste; hints of a green edge to the finish and a great length to the honey and lime. 88/100. Opened 11-Mar-21, tasting note taken 5 days after opening.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
