NV Croft Pink

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Croft Pink NV: little in the nose, soft strawberry palate; light and a little over-extracted. Plasticiser aftertaste. Better than in the past, but not my kind of Port. 80/100. 10-Apr-21.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

When they started making the Croft Pink, I think the suggested mixed drink was just with soda water. I recently tried one with soda and a small amount of Aperol. The Aperol really adds something and is well worth trying if you are into Port cocktails.
