NV Quinta da Devesa Tawny 10YO (bottled 2019)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled 2019. Deep rich colour, a dark bronze; 30% opaque. Bright and vibrant nose, marzipan and pistachio combined with a lovely red apple; very fragrant. Slightly thick texture with generous honey and cinder toffee; a little burnt toast at the edges but there is good acidity which ensures the palate stays balanced and fresh. Big and rich aftertaste, full of cinder toffee and honey. The finish is intense and concentrated, and has an amazing length. 91/100. Tasted 10-Apr-21.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
