1922 Warre

Post by jdaw1 »

We noted the impressive 350th Anniversary of Warre, with a vertical alas not covering the entirety of its history, as arranged by Neil.

A glorious garnet red. On the nose, liquorice and even a prickle of heat!

Smooth on the entry, with many of the usual mature port descriptors making an appearance at one point or another in the course of the consumption of the glass (figs, tobacco, plums, dates, even some chocolate on the finish).

Astonishing length.

Not a mere survival, but genuinely lovely port of remarkable complexity.
