Cloudy orange. Smells like coffee grounds at first and then strongly of milky coffee later. Spirity and not much fruit on the palate. Not right.

Citrusy nose with some more earthy notes. Decent tannins for me kept it very interesting. Overall not bad.

Quite light pink fading to brown. Slightly cloudy. Quite a bit of coffee on the nose, although this blew off after a while. Very little in the mouth: simple sugar and fruit.

Brown/orange rim. The most bizarre nose ever – I thought that I was drinking from a glass formerly occupied by an Espresso Martini! Clearly faulty, though having said that, this Port would’ve been an interesting start to a Saturday…

Pale burnt orange colour and slightly cloudy. Tobacco and cigar ash (some said coffee) on the nose, a little orange oil fruit. Soft textured entry, lots of acidity a little orange and bitter zest. Lots of heat and peppercorns on the aftertaste. Light, evolved and tertiary this is weak but drinkable. 81/100.
Drunk 20-Oct-21. Decanted 9½ hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
