Mid red. I found it a bit hot and disappointing at first, but it was pleasant enough after food.

This was the positive surprise of the night for me.

Yes soft and gentle, but balanced, with some nice richness and very enjoyable

A light and clear red in the middle. Very little on the nose. A bit spirity. Very light in the mouth. Simple fruits. Fine. Drinkable.

One of the ‘redder’ wines of the tasting – nice and clear rim. Nose muted at first, though I found it opened up nicely as the evening progressed (red fruits, lessening heat). By the end of the night, this was a particularly agreeable wine, if a little straightforward on the way down.

Slight rose tone to the wine, 30% opaque. Sweet glace cherry nose. A little hollow on entry with a slight thickness to the texture; mid to late palate the wine develops a delicious strawberry jam. The jam changes to a more fragrant apricot on the aftertaste and the quite delicious very long finish. What a delightful surprise this medium bodied wine turned out to be. 88/100. Drunk 20-Oct-21. Decanted 4½ hours.
