Works for me.
I'll put it into the planner...

That sounds splendid. It also happens to be my birthday.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

As it stands I have a single booking on this day, and so would not currently be able to commit to this. The honourable thing to do is to vacate the seat rather than see if there is a cancellation. So could Phil be promoted, but could I please join the reserve list in case my circumstances change. Very disappointing to miss this but the B&B means my diary cannot be as flexible as needed, particularly for tastings that have had to be rescheduled from dates I had managed to plan for. I very much hope the juice will be fine and that you will all post notes for me to get a great understanding of this vintage.

That is very fair of you — I will post TNs, and encourage others to do so.

It is an experiment. I hope it is really good. But it might not be.
Yes, it will be. No need for mocking, it will just be grim. A dessert of gammon, egg and lard-fried chips will help you forget how bad your meal was.
I've had a Beyond burger in the States. It was not terrible. It was not on a par with a quality burger, but I would take it over the bottom tier of fast food burgers and anything you might find in the average sports stadium.

@ Doggett - I appreciate your early and honourable self-sacrifice. We shall, another time, drink 1980 together.
@ PhilW - promoted accordingly.

Could I be added to the reserves list please.

Have most of the wines, including the Calem Foz and Ramos Pinto

Most disappointed to have to drop off this reserve list as bookings now taken for this date. Over to you again Tom, you are now next in line for this interesting tasting. As always, I hope it is a good one and enjoyed by all.

Am afraid that the revised date won't work for me; I hadn't spotted I'd been promoted from reserves or would have said sooner.
Fingers crossed Tom can take my spot.

@ uncle_tom - elevated, as prefigured to be statistically likely

Having visited my cellar over the weekend I have brought back to town with me Dow, Graham and Royal Oporto. Couldn't find my Smith Woodhouse or Niepoort.

I thought I was down to provide Ni80 - I have found this and have it ready. Can't currently find the S80 but I know it is there somewhere!

@CPR1 - Harry was going to be adopting your Niepoort - but if you can't find the Sandeman I'll get nac to bring the Sandeman and Harry can adopt that instead. Let us know.

@akzy - let me know if you are adopting the SW from DaveRL or uncle_tom so that they know to bring it along.

Have more Foz than Pinto, so will bring that one, but could bring both if anyone wants to adopt

@ all

There are currently four team adoptions - Dow (from me) Taylor (from AHB) and Fonseca and Kopke (from Tony). There will not be an adjustment for the NN, because Julian is lovely.
