Can you add hubby (Daren) please to the list and if still room a plus 1? We have some 90 and I have 91 and 94 on order so will chase these up. What time does it start? Many thanks Claire :D

I have been told I can expect my 91 next week, and as no-one else has put that forward Daren will bring that, if that is alright by everyone. I will find out what bottle the plus one is bringing and let you know.

A cask sample of Vesuvio 2008 arrived at my house today, a generous donation to our line-up from Dom Symington 88)

The Symington's have not yet finalised their blends for the 2008 vintage so I have been asked to let you all know that this is still a "work in progress" sample.

Claire,

Have added Darren and a +1 as attending on my original post. Assume the "+1" is yourself? Will start arriving from about 6.30pm but if you cannot get there until a bit later do not worry - I am certain some of the attendees will not arrive before 7.30pm or so and we would always ensure known attendees do not miss out on any wines opened early.

AHB wrote:In a fit of enthusiasm and anticipation for this coming Vesuvio vertical, I had a quick trawl through the vintages which people have identified that they have available, and come up with the following list:

DRT - 1994, 1996, 1997
WS1 - 1999, 2000, 2003, 2005
ARK - 1996 (having drunk all his 1994)
CMAG - will buy to fill gaps, I suggest the very impressive 1998
Cookie - none identified
Kevin - none identified
BMHR - none identified
JGH - none identified
AHB - I have one of each of the following easily on hand 1990, 1991, 1994, 1996, 1997, 2005, 2006, 2007 (2 of this vintage)
Adam - none identified
Chris Doty - 1995

So we could have a line up of:
1990 - Cookie to adopt from AHB
1991 - Darren
1994 - DRT
1995 - Chris Doty
1996 - ARK
1997 - JGH to adopt from DRT
1998 - CMAG (to buy from BBR)
1999 - Adam to adopt from WS1
2000 - BMHR to buy
2003 - WS1
2005 - Kevin to adopt from WS1
2006 - AHB (this is the vintage when I was in the lagares)
tba - Darren's +1

Claire,

If Darren's +1 would like to bring the 1990, then let me know. I'm sure that I can persuade Cookie to adopt a bottle of the 2007 from me instead.

But, of course, if he/she has a bottle of the 1992 on hand...

Alex,

Can you please add the 2008 Cask Sample to the line-up when you next update the list/

Evening all, we have the 92 also now so Daren will be bringing the 91 and the 92 for the + one so that should fill the gaps nicely :)

Excellent!

So all we need are 1989, 2001, 2004 and 2007 and we have a full house!!!!!

Does anyone have any of these available for adoption by the group?

I'm not willing to give up one of my last bottles of 1989 but more than happy to bring along a bottle of 2007 - is that the Group decision?

Yes. The group have decided that you are allowed to do that.

I have just acquired a 2004 to add to the list if we are going for the full house :D ...but none the less would still be more than happy to adopt the 1990 from Alex.

2007 Capela not missing, so I couldn’t have meant that. 2008 Capela is missing, though might not exist.

I'm unclear - does that mean you want to adopt the 1990 from me and bring that as well as the 2004? Or are you saying that you can bring a 2004 instead of adopting the 1990 now that you have one?

It is on the placemats, but who is bringing it? It is not on AHB's list!
