Re: PhilW new 80's House VP search - Thu 23rd June TCP
ok, as I've not attended an event before, nevermind organise one, just wanted to check if there is anything else to be done. I have previously booked the table, in the board room and confirmed TCP will supply the glasses and ordered the rib-eyes for those who have stated they wanted them.
Hopefully everyone has previously sent their lists of port to jdaw1; in any case I think we're now close enough for decision/selection to be made from current info, so those who need any time can sort their bottle. Also we may have an additional 'thirsty' bottle from Ray
So is there anything else needed? Placemats would be an obvious query (should we have them, if so what is required to be done) or anything else (aside from turning up, and bringing wrapped, pre-decanted port)? Please feel free to state the obvious, given that I haven't attended a previous event.
Phil.

So RAYC is to make. They might look a little like those used on St George’s Day 2011, or might have more ornament like those used for Cold Turkey: Christmas Comes Twice, or he might do something new and different. His call.jdaw1 wrote:Excellent: please do placemats. But who is to print?RAYC wrote:I have plenty of time to do placemats
If RAYC, with some notice, declares that he is unable, then I will cope.
Re: PhilW new 80's House VP search - Thu 23rd June TCP
I will create this weekend and should also now be able to print, though if you felt in the mood to email the postcript file for either of those tastings through to me for use as a precedent then you can be assured that the tasting mats will be tasteful rather than garish!jdaw1 wrote:If RAYC, with some notice, declares that he is unable, then I will cope.
Phil - what initials do you go by?

I have sent port choices to RAYC (also for his guest), AHB, and PhilW.
Nobody else has sent me a list.

In small groups we tend to label things with initials. Please post yours. JDAW.RAYC wrote:Phil - what initials do you go by?

Placemats / bottle labels are now done and printed.
Phil - if you would like to see in advance, please send me a pm with your email address (I am on a work computer and hence unable to upload to host online). Other attendees have been emailed already.

What time are people planning on getting to the Crusting Pipe?
Re: PhilW new 80's House VP search - Thu 23rd June TCP
on the basis of my anticipated journey down from Slough, I can commit to 7.00, but (subject to making the correct train and a smooth journey thereafter) hope to arrive 15-20 minutes earlier.

I can probably be there any time between 6 and 7. What time are others arriving? If closer to 6 than 7, I shall try to be earlier rather than later.JacobH wrote:What time are people planning on getting to the Crusting Pipe?

I’ll probably be at my computer whilst you are quaffing. If, when all are unblinded, I am sent (by email, PM, or text) a list of what was tasted, then TN threads will be constructed.
