On Thursday 19th April Tim Stanley-Clarke is presenting a Port Masterclass for Davy's at Woolgate. Tickets are £50, including a 2 course meal are available from http://www.davy.co.uk/events.
I went to this in 2009 and thought it was a worthwhile event. The 2 course meal was sausage and mash plus cheese for desert. The ports we tasted were all from Grahams and were 6 Grapes, 2003 LBV, 2003 vintage, 2001 Crusted, 1998 Malvedos, 1980 vintage. That night I also cheekily brought along a guest and a bottle of Warre 1958 (my guest's birth year) which was shared with Tim to wash down the cheese.
Assuming that I haven't shot myself in the foot by posting this before I buy a ticket, I intend to be there. Anyone else planning to?

Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

I’ve just bought a ticket on the basis that anything hosted by Tim Stanley-Clarke should be fun!
