2001 Henriques & Henriques Single Harvest Sercial

A clear light orange.

Heady nose that frankly I could smell all day. Preserved cape gooseberries, I think.

Big rich smoky palate with a kaleidoscope of dried stone fruit flavours - dried pears, dried apples, a bit of elvas peach. Then bone dry on the finish.

The real thing, this.

One of the samples discussed as part of the Madeira Masterclass of the Big Fortified Tasting, presented by Rubina Viera from the IVBAM on Thursday 29th April 2021.
