P.S.: I know that it is frustrating. You can take this as the golden rule. But for the85s for example: the Croft is very far developed and the Taylors is at least partially closed. So a rule of thumb does not really work.

I would say so, but that would be - again - too much generally speaking. If you see the Croft 2003 this is something to last and is able to match the big names. So if the house style changes, the behavior of their ports does, too.
Anyways: rules of thumb are too easy and if everything would work out like predicted, it would be boring like sh.
