25% opacity, red-orange, very clear. Faint nose of dusty cherries. Lovely smooth entry, gentle heat mid to late palate. Syrupy, sweet, great balance. Lovely long aftertaste of cherries. Lip licking.

Deep red, 60% opaque. A fragrant fruit nose, very fine and elegant. Wonderful texture on entry, bringing rich flavours of mature fruit. Slightly dusty tannins are wrapped up in the wonderful fruit. The aftertaste and finish are huge. This is a massive port and is a clear example of a superb vintage - a vintage which could be the best of the 20th century. Great port. 97/100. Decanted 4 hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

N45. Pink red, 30% opaque. Palate of saccharine, and strawberry too. Lovely balance, great length. Mint appeared over time, the soft loveliness being maintained.
