2000 Dow

Deep red in colour with a touch of bricking, opaque centre. Soft red fruit on the nose, sweet and ripe. Modest fruit on entry with generous tannins and pleasing acidity. Soft and straightforward but well balanced, leading to a dry cherry stone aftertaste and finish. 90/100. Drunk 26-Sep-16.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
