2013 Quinta do Noval

Red with a purple tone, opaque. Restrained on the nose, showing a little fruit. Sweet and ripe on entry and full of baby fat fruit. The palate has a great flavour profile and wonderful tannins, which are ripe and vigorous but beautifully balanced. Delicious aftertaste. This is a lovely port. 94/100. Drunk 26-Sep-16. Pop 'n' pour.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
