Modest red in colour; 50% opaque. A lovely nose with fruit that is fresh while also being soft and sweet - quite an achievement. Some freshness and silkiness on the palate with delicious fruit and surprisingly vigorous tannins. The aftertaste is big, with lots of flavours a wonderful chewy finish. This is a really nice big brother to the 1983 vintage shown alongside. 93/100.
Drunk at the Berry Brothers Port Walk on 24 Nov 2016.
