1982 Churchill

A night cap at the end of the Xmas offline, the perfect way to wrap up.

Warm red colour, 60% opaque. Fruity nose with hints of freshly cut conference pear. Smooth palate with gentle flavours masking some heat on the mid-palate. Light in structure and impact with red pears and red pear skin tannins on the late palate. The gentle pears continue onto the aftertaste and finish. 86/100. Drunk 15-Dec-16. Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
