NV Graham Tawny 30YO

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

From a 20cl miniature bottle designed for the on-trade. Lighter and paler in colour than the 20yo, 20% opaque. Gentle VA on the nose with lots of pear-drops. Slow entry, sweet and thick bringing slow development of flavour on the palate. Concentrated with good acidity that is dominated by the flavours of burnt sugar. Aniseed on the aftertaste and a fabulous length - but I preferred the 20yo. 89/100. Drunk 21-Feb-17.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
