Hi
Can I please be added to the wait list. There was a request to add me in January from AHB but I don't appear to be on the list.
Many thanks

Re: Tue 10 Oct - A Gould Campbell vertical
First post now edited to confirm the attendees and bottles allocated (all of those who have bottles allocated have been contacted although a couple of confirmations are still outstanding-you know who you are!).
No success on the Industry Guest front but it does mean that all on the waiting list (who have also been contacted) now have a berth and we are up to full complement. In terms of logistics, I'd welcome thoughts about whether bottles should be brought to the B&F and decanted there or whether to leave it the individuals concerned to bring decanted bottles (where possible)? Unfortunately, I won't be able to help with any decanting at the B&F as I have a meeting that day and unlikely to be there before 6.30pm and so if this is the preferred route (even in part), it will require volunteers... Bottles would needd to be rested at the B&F beforehand (next week's tasting provides the opportunity for some).
There are costs associated with this tasting which I will confirm by PM once all have advised their costs.

Sounds good Ian. Not sure yet what is happening on the 10th for me, so will need to wait until nearer the time to figure out if I can help with set up, or will need to deposit the bottle early or bring it on the night decanted.
Re: Tue 10 Oct - A Gould Campbell vertical
Sorry, forgot to phone my father to check my bottle. Wilco tomorrow.

Re: Tue 10 Oct - A Gould Campbell vertical
I would recommend leaving bottles at B&F and decanting on the day. Bottle seem to show better when we do this.
I'll bring my bottles to the B&F on Sep 28th.
I can spend a couple of hours at lunchtime decanting bottles which have been left in advance. That should be enough time to double-decant everything leaving us only with the challenge of finding the time to pre-pour (which requires about 60-90 minutes immediately prior to the start).

Re: Tue 10 Oct - A Gould Campbell vertical
Ben, Alex, thanks-I'm likely to be bringing four bottles already on Thursday (including a mag) and so another two would prove difficult for me.
Incidentally, first post now updated.
Re: Tue 10 Oct - A Gould Campbell vertical
The majority of bottles for this tasting were deposited at the B&F last week (the glasses order was also confirmed). Can I ask that the remaining bottles be deposited before the tasting please?
I now need to compile the food order (any volunteers to assist me with this?) and so can I ask these to be posted within this thread and by this weekend if at all possible (if someone can do the honours of replicating or linking to the menu that would be appreciated!).
Am now going to start sending out by e-mail or PM confirmation of costs.

Re: Tue 10 Oct - A Gould Campbell vertical
My usual food order please - no starter, medium rare sirloin steak with chips, dessert (if any) decided on the night.
CMAG would like Cornish Crab salad as starter, followed by medium rare sirloin steak with chips.

Re: Tue 10 Oct - A Gould Campbell vertical
Only a couple of (potential) food orders to go (you know who you are-Tom!) and so this should be ready to go by the weekend. Most of the bottles now deposited at the B&F and thanks to those that have offered to decant and pre-pour. I should now be able to help with the latter as the work commitment has dematerialised and so I hope to be there before 5pm.
Details of the costs (credits and debits) are being circulated and thank-you to those that have already paid.

Re: Tue 10 Oct - A Gould Campbell vertical
No food for me on this occasion thank you. But I have arranged for childcare, so I shall be at the B&F from about 2.30pm to help decant, pour and set up. I will also be dropping the 1983 GC in earlier in the day.
Re: Tue 10 Oct - A Gould Campbell vertical
Could someone please make a quick check of the food order. I have ordered the same as me for CSD, and will update if he advises he wants something different. And if he can't make it, then RLC is in play and this is also what he would like to order.

Re: Tue 10 Oct - A Gould Campbell vertical
Food order looks sensible, but I haven't matched it off against the posts above.
My only question is about the strike through of the "no egg" on Ian's order - could that confuse the kitchen resulting in them not knowing whether to include it or not?

To facilitate decanting and pre-pouring, I've just printed the neck tags, cork display sheets and pre-pour sheets so — whoever is printing — please save yourself some weight and only print the voting sheets, placemats and tasting note sheets.
