2011 Fonseca LBV

Bottled unfiltered in 2016. Deep red in colour with a wide rim. A gentle nose of sour fruit. The slightly sour fruit appears amidst a big dose of tannins when the first sip is taken. This has mid-weight fruit and heavy-weight tannins that combine to give a nice chewiness to the finish. 83/100. 24-May-17.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
