NV Ferreira White Reserve

The Dona Antonia Branco Reserva. Drunk at the Ferreira Lodge. Average age of the wines is around 6 years with the wine being aged in balseiros; about EUR12.

Pale orange in colour, only 10% opaque. Slight plastic tones on the nose, mixed in with sweet apricots. Thick in texture with a great palate presence. Lots of orange blossom honey on the smooth, languid palate with hints of tannins and great balancing acidity. Really delicious. 88/100. 22-Jun-17. Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
