Tasted at the Night Before Bastille Day tasting on July 13, 2017.
Bottled by Charles Kinloch. Deep burnt orange in colour, 50% opaque. Sweet oranges on the nose, full of candied orange zest like you find for sale in the markets of Dubrovnik. Sweet and thick entry, lots of slightly smoky bitter-sweet orange and a slight creaminess. A delicious burnt orange aftertaste and an enormous and long finish. A beautiful wine. Served blind, this was guessed to be Croft 1970. 93/100. 13-Jul-17. 13 hours double decanted.
