2012 Duorum LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Duorum's first vintage (both VP and LBV) was 2007. This was bottled in 2017. Deep red colour with a medium rim. A wonderful and complex nose with sweet black fruit competing for attention with freshly baked biscuits. Smooth and balanced entry with baked fruit flavours adding immediate complexity; warm and delicious. Modest aftertaste and a modest finish that is sweet and figgy, backed by soft tannins. Will happily keep 5-10 years - good comfort port. 87/100. 06-Nov-17.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
