1970 Graham

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Mature mid-red colour, 30% opaque. A wonderful nose of spiced dried fruits, typical Graham's Christmas cake. Oddly hollow entry but the flavours build up beautifully. Light texture but full of flavour, of sweet soaked spiced and dried raisins and citrus zest. Really big on the late palate. Some heat tries to show on the aftertaste before a big, long finish of rich fruit and subtle pepper corns. This is quite sticky, showing typical Graham sweetness. 91/100. 05-Dec-17. Decanted 2 hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
