20% opacity. Lovely rich nose, dried extracted fruits - oranges and tobacco. Rich, full, syrupy mouthfeel. Concentrated orange fruit, great balance and structure.

Ex-cellars bottle from Quinta do Cachão, courtesy of Miguel Perreira at a tasting organised by Tony Carter of Vintage Wine & Port.

Russet brown colour, 30% opaque. Nothing showing on the nose but sweet and floral on the palate with lots of tannins; a little dry on the palate due to the dominance of the tannins, and with green wood tones. Sweet and light with burnt biscuit edges to the aftertaste and finish. Decent wine but drying out. 84/100. Tasted 23-Oct-19. Decanted 7 hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
