Bottled 2001.
+24 hrs
70% opaque, orange rimmed ruby red.
Nose of caramelised orange peel and herbs.
Immediate hit of warmth and herbs on the palate, before some maraschino cherries and almonds appear.
Congruent finish, with a hint of prune, not enormously long, but very pleasant to taste and re-taste.
This is a fully ready now and a pleasure to drink. Very good value for a mature LBV.
Tasted 03/06/20 & 04/06/20

Do you still have the label? What is the name of the company which bottled this wine?
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
