1977 Taylor

A bottle identified to be leaking was stored upright for 2 months prior to consumption this weekend. Level was top shoulder.

Cork extracted in one piece and a tablespoons worth of sediment remained post decant. No notes taken on decant.

D+5

Smells like a herb garden with a lot of eucalyptus. Quite orange in colour, definitely lighter than previous efforts from the same stash. A lot of pepper on initial taste and citrus. Not a long finish.

D+7

Pepper remains but it is more integrated. the citrus is more orange like, it reminded me of a Terrys Chocolate Orange but more refined. Finish is now very long, leaves the mouth watering for over 30 seconds.

Sadly the decanter was empty shortly after D+7. Glad to have 6 more bottles that I shall open over the years. Beginning to drink well but no rush.
