1960 Cockburn

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Cockburn 1960 bottled by the Wine Society. A deep and rich red, 70% opaque. Fresh nose, gently spiced bruised apples. A lovely cinnamon and nutmeg spice on the palate, dried red fruit giving a big mouthful. Spicy and lively, such a lovely texture in the mouth. Delicious sweet liquorice aftertaste and finish. Fabulous. 94/100. Drunk 24-Sep-21. Decanted 2 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
