NV Churchill Club Tawny

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled in 2021 in 750ml as a special blend only for the Churchill Port Club members. Lightly pigmented butterscotch colour, 40% opaque. Butterscotch and orange caramel on the nose. Good acidity on the palate; vanilla fudge and caramel with just enough acidity to keep the flavours fresh. Hints of tannin show on the late palate and aftertaste before an orange marmalade finish settles in. A lovely mouthful. 88/100. 02-Dec-21. Decanted 1 day.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
