1947 Constantino

Decanted 18.00, drunk 22.00. Very dark red colour. Big nose of dark fruit. Black cherry and bramble on the palate, dark tannins and great acidity. Youthful, big, black fruit gums. Black fruit gum and long cocoa finish. 95/100. Decanted 4 hours.

21 hours after decanting the wine was a little better, with generous balsamic and herb notes. Drunk 29-Sep-21.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
