2015 Ramos Pinto LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled 2019 - Thomas Rogerson says that RP prefer to bottle their LBV and VPs at the earliest opportunity (with some very limited exceptions) before summer starts. This wine is a deep ruby colour, 80% opaque. Delicious on the nose, showing sweet and fragrant fruit. The palate wonderfully combines fruit, acidity and grip before delivering a wonderful long finish. This is such a beautiful wine. 92/100. Tasted 22-Mar-22.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
