Inspired by the whites tasting organised by recent member Nelly, would there be interest in a theme of Crusted? I say blind. Bottles can young or old, cheap or expensive, single or magnum, but they must be of sediment-throwing red Port that isn’t quite Vintage.

I like the theme.

It is unlikely that I will be able to attend given the other tastings either side of the proposed date. If I can, it will be a decision taken on the day if a space is still available.

It’s so nice to hear that I’ve inspired you, Julian!
I wish I could join you guys for this one as well. But I have my WSET diploma exam on the 10th of May, so will have to pass on this one 😢

We have tastings on 24 April, 17 May and 24 May. I also have a tasting on 25 April.

A change of date from 3 May to 10 May still makes it unlikely I will be able to attend!

It's a great theme which I would love to take part in.

Probably not what you were hoping for - but how about September 7 or 8?

Sep 7th would be good - I'm getting married on 8th or 9th so should probably avoid booking a TPF tasting for those dates - party on 10th though - I am trying to negotiate a pork pie and port bar.

Well congratulations!

A Crusted Port tasting might be an excellent alternative to a stag night - but might it perhaps be better on the 6th rather than the 7th?

20, 21, 27 Sep would all suit me for date - but I have very little crusted so don't work around me.

Any of those dates would work for me.

And George, please allow me the privilege of offering you a bottle to adopt if you don't want to use any of your limited supply. (I didn't realise just how much Crusted I have and how much storage space it is taking up!)
