As this is now soon-ish, could those who are unreconfirmed please reconfirm? Also, if you haven’t said what you’re offering please do so now

If we are having the Sandeman, please could we also have the Vau? I don’t get many chances to compare these side-by-side and would love to do so on the 24th.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

If not having already done so, then reconfirming. In addition to the three on the first post I have V (as previously advised) plus a CaF.

No - Sogrape's UK VP distribution went off the rails during the late 80's and 90's - there's just no old stock around of Sandeman, Offley or Ferreira.

George has retired now, so I don't know who a bottle might best be begged from in Pt..

Assuming we have a full complement of attendees, I’m considering expanding the tasting to 18 bottles.

Is this desirable?

Does it work with the placemats?

Yes. can be done as 13+5 or as 15+3 (15+3 again, and again). I think 15+3 is better, as more space efficient.

The '97 Quinta Da Corte is a decent bottle if someone in the group has one.

Sorry… had Missed this post. When it was made I was all good but may now have an issue with attending. Very much hope that won’t be the case as 1997 is a vintage I really like and I think is underrated due because of the 94s. I will be able to confirm on Monday either way.

Re: 1997 @ 25, Tues 24th May 2022 @ B&F

As we're now at 12 attendees with nobody on the waiting list, being reduced to 15 bottles. I'll update the list.

A number of people won't be required to supply any bottles. As such, some minor movement of funds will be required.

OK - will leave you on the reserve list.
Cough.
