1983 Offley

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep red colour, very dark with an opaque centre and a wide rim. Youthful nose of red berry fruit and rose hips. Vibrant blackcurrant on the palate with generous acidity and a touch of tannin. A lovely blackcurrant lozenge finish, infused with a little menthol. Delicious. Vintage known but shipper withheld this was guessed to be Smith Woodhouse. 91/100. Drunk 26-Apr-22. Decanting time not noted.
