1991 Berry Brothers

1991 Berry Brothers (Smith Woodhouse)
This was dominated by a bitter note on the finish. Not great. But, not an off bottle, I think it's just not a great wine.

Consumed 2/2/22.

Smith Woodhouse. More evolved in appearance than the 1985 tasted alongside, looking rich and mature with a rose coloured rim. Sadly, a spoiled bottle smelling unpleasant. Not tasted, not rated. Drunk 02-Feb-22. Decanted 8 hours.

I thought this was a bad bottle; it showed nothing like I would expect Smith Woodhouse 1991 to show.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
