NV Carlos Alonso Quintella Tawny

The Quintella brand is based close to Alijo and offers White, Tawny and Ruby Ports. This is the entry level tawny - brick red, generous red fruit on the nose, strawberry jam. A touch hollow on entry, honey at first with some fruit coming through on the mid-palate. Light bodied. Dried fruit and peppercorn leading to a raisin and brown sugar finish. 86/100. Tasted 09-Jun-22.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
