2011 Marks and Spencer

98 per cent glass staining red-black liquid.

Heat, spice and blackcurrant on the nose. Mint.

Viscous in the mouth, the wash of blueberry and raspberry and pink currant succeeded by blackberry and apple crumble.

Really quite savoury on the finish. Mainly tannins, but it is already genuinely interesting to drink.

I probably wouldn't be touching it were it not for the fact that I have enough to keep me trying it annually until it's forty-odd. But in truth it's jolly nice to drink something this young and vigorous. And, it is good drinking.
