2016 Cockburn

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Available by the glass from the Cockburn Lodge upstairs tasting room. Deep coloured, narrow rim. Limited nose of perfumed dark damsons. Rich and plummy mouth, huge tannins gripping really well. Perfumed fruit on the aftertaste, lovely tannins. Bramble aftertaste.  91/100. Tasted 15-Oct-22.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
