1927 Dow

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

From Charles Redshaw. Identified from the branded cork. A mature brick red colour, 50% opaque. Fabulous spiced fruit nose - the prefect mulled wine with redcurrant, cranberry and cinnamon. Rich and full on the palate with generous fruit and spice. Starting to dry on the late palate. A lovely bitter-fragrant aftertaste and finish. A lovely wine starting to dry out slightly. 88/100. Consumed 15-Dec-22. Decanted 1 hour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

40% opacity, mature red-brown, orange rim. Red fruit on the nose. Lovely rich fresh red fruit. Gentle heat mid to late palate.
