Bottled by Christopher & Co. Brought as an unknown but identified from the very difficult to read branding on the cork, although the flavour profile was generally thought to be closer to Dow or Taylor.
A warm and burnished red in colour. Warm strawberry compote on the nose, with a hint of brandy protruding. Lovely on the palate with the sweet red fruit carrying a lot of fire and black pepper. Heat and some sweet redcurrant jelly aftertaste and lingering finish, which gets just a bit sticky at the end. Guessed to be Taylor. 93/100. 24-Apr-23.
