Perfect condition bottle, decanted and poured. Then given half an hour in glass.
Shimmering deep red, pale rim. Looking fully mature.
The aguardiente is showing on the nose at the moment. Hint of strawberry later.
The palate though is a dream with the smoothest possible raspberry ripple mid palate and the most lovely strawberry soufflé finish.
Lovely port, really lovely port, and very much ready. I might go as far as ‘drink up’, or at least ‘check your stocks’.
