After the fantastic years 2011, 2015, 2016 and 2017 Grahams Stone Terraces 2021 is only the fifth edition of this limited edition Vintage Port (the Symingtons call it micro-terroir). Although more expensive than 2017 at arrival, I am sure that the 4.800 bottles and 280 Tappit Hens will find a home rapidly find decent homes. Completely tight almost black color with dark-violet reflections. Very pure and complex red-berry fruit-mix in the bouquet with blueberry and cassis, chocolate and a hint of different spices along with mango and banana. Tight tannins on the palate with violets, cassis, strawberry and chocolate. Alike the 2017 the newest offspring also reveals some tropical fruit-aromas, which tend to get less with more bottle age. Extremely long, well balanced and multi-layered aftertaste. 19/20
tasted along with all other STs in Amsterdam at the Vintage Port Day and will taste again at the Portweinmesse: http://worldofport.de/Events%20EN.html
