1960 Burmester

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Oporto bottled. Brown and murky with a green edge. Initially very oxidised on the nose but after a while the oxidation blew off to reveal a lemon and honey nose. Honey and lemon on the tired palate; brown sugar and coffee finish. 84/100. Drunk 07-Feb-23 at the TPF Awards. Decanted 6½ hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
